Currently in the Studio - July 2018

Last night while jotting some notes in my journal before bed I did a little calculating and then looked at my Hubby and said: "It's the 10th of July and I've already created 41 cards."  I keep a daily journal in a Traveler's Notebook and at the bottom of every page I write "Cards Made" and then put a tick mark for every card made that day.  It's something I've been doing for a while now and I love totaling it up at the end of every month to see how many cards I've made.

June was a busy month, but I still found time to make 50 cards and participate in The 30 Day Coloring Challenge from The Daily Marker.  These are just a few of those cards, many of which have been added to the shop in the last week.

Since the coloring challenge ended, I've been busy working on Christmas Cards.  Christmas in July is everywhere so I jumped on the bandwagon.  I've been a Christmas card making machine, with nine sets completed so far.  You can find all the Christmas cards in my shop, under Christmas in July.  Some of the sets are even on sale, as they are last year's designs.

I've been looking into some local consignment options for selling cards, but am currently on the fence.  I need to do some more research.  To be quite honest, it's a bit nerve-racking to think of putting my art in someone else's hands and paying a monthly fee with no guarantee of sales.  I'll keep you posted on what comes of this idea.

In other things.  I'm debating the purchase of a Tim Holtz Glass Craft Mat.  I've been using my black cutting mat for project work lately to see if I like the black background.  Turns out I do.  I'm also learning that I don't like having to clear the mat off to get to the other side, where I have my Ranger Craft Mat adhered, when I want to work on something messy with ink.  I'd love to know your thoughts on the glass mat and if you have one.  I don't like buying things just because it's the latest and greatest on the market.

In other news, I'm thrilled that as of yesterday, Distress Oxide set #4 was released.  I'm a bit of a Distress Ink and Distress Oxide junkie.  These are products I have a bad case of full set syndrome for.

That's all I have for Currently in the studio.  I'm off to create more cards and shop for a few things.  It's a never-ending cycle.
