Watercolor Backgrounds Using Ink Refills and Perfect Pearls

Here we are again, talking about Distress Inks, but this time it's about re-inkers.  My favorite thing about Distress Inks and Distress Oxides is the water-reactive property both inks have.  The Distress Reinkers can be used as a concentrated watercolor with amazing results.  After coloring the Warm Wishes Snowflake card I had quite a bit of color left on my glass mat.  Rather than waste it, I soaked it up with a watercolor panel.  Because there was a bit of Perfect Pearls in the color mixture, the end result was a beautiful shimmering sea of blue and green.

I kept the card simple with a background stamp, some embossing powder, and a few tiny sentiments.  To complete the card I mounted the panel on silver paper before adhering it to a white card base.
